SLiDE was founded in 2013 following extensive research into the community dance provision in Croydon. In particular the research showed a lack of opportunities for disabled people to access dance. SLiDE works throughout Croydon, London and the UK in community venues, schools and colleges. We work with partners to set up new projects, working with specific communities or creating new ones. Our performances include full length works, outdoor pieces in green spaces, film and projection projects.
“I can honestly say that it was one of the most uplifting and moving performances I have seen in a long time. I was totally engaged from the first movement to the last note, as was everyone else who had the privilege of experiencing such a motivational performance.” Michelle Groves, Director of Education and Training, Royal Academy of Dance
